About me ...

Malmesbury Town Councillor
The people of Malmesbury are very important to me and I feel it is a privilege to serve as a Councillor here in our beautiful town.
Community
I have been involved with local groups and charities for a number of years on a voluntary basis. Starting in a small way at my son’s preschool and then becoming more involved at primary school fundraising as Chair of the PTA. Thereafter, Chair of the Scouting Group in Malmesbury and I ran St. Mary’s Hall as a Community Hall for many groups including Malmesbury Carnival. Elizabeth Hodges Charity, of which I am the current Chair, is almost 300 years old and it helps by giving extra funding to local people to assist them to further their education and partners Malmesbury Community Trust in MACT, being Malmesbury Area Charities Together.
I am also part of two further exciting projects. The Town Team is a fairly new organisation and is looking to enhance the commercial offering of the Town and support local traders. Additionally I am delighted to be the Chair of the shadow Community Operations Board (Malmesbury Campus) which is a working party of the Wiltshire Council Area Board. The Campus project is about enhancing services and community facilities in the Malmesbury Community Area.
Personally
I have lived in Malmesbury for well over 30 years and am married with a teenage son.
