The Malmesbury Campus has been agreed by the Wiltshire Council Cabinet! 11th November 2014
Cotswold House is the former youth centre in Malmesbury. In 2012, Wiltshire Council provided an indoor skateboard park that is attached at the rear of the building.
Following the closure of the youth centre, the use of the building has been reviewed including access to the Skate Board Park and the building it is now put forward as the Malmesbury Area Community Campus and plans are being drawn up as I write. (And just to say, this is not just Malmesbury Town but for use by the whole of the Malmesbury Community Area!)
A refurbishment of the existing building will take place. Initial plans are likely to include a multi-purpose community space, a kitchen area, improved office space and hot desk and office facilities.
+++ By the way, the Skateboard Park is still open for sessions. Current times as follows +++
Alan Holt runs Junior sessions alternating Mondays and Tuesdays 6-7pm. Senior sessions run throughout the week subject to volunteer availability. New volunteers are welcome, so that more sessions can be run.
Skate sessions are announced on the Skatepark Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MSLA.13. (Click on this link for more information).
